Den. ceraula, also known by its synonym Den. gonzalesii, comes from the mountainous forests of the Philippines. It produces long, slender, arching stems which bloom all along the stem -  large (5cm) eye-catching blue-mauve flowers that are long lasting and gradually fade to pale blue.

It prefers cool, moist shady conditions, and a dry winter rest.
